North Carolina Court of Appeals. Owner-operators and staff were charged after children, following extensive therapy, made escalating and physically impossible allegations including satanic-ritual-abuse elements. Bob Kelly was convicted on 99 of 100 counts and sentenced to twelve life terms, but the North Carolina Court of Appeals reversed all convictions in 1995, and by 1997 all remaining charges against every defendant had been dismissed.
