Publication, corrections and takedowns

Each published record must cite a court record, charging document, official inquiry or finding, or verifiable published reporting that supports the status and authority nexus attributed to it. A link on this site is a cited record; it is not necessarily a primary source.

Criminal convictions, pending charges, civil findings, official findings, investigations and closed matters remain distinct. A charge or allegation is described as an allegation and attributed to the charging or reporting source. Publication does not imply guilt, and a pending case is not described as a proved fact.

For a pending matter, the case page states the latest disposition found in its cited sources and the date those sources were last retrieved. That date does not guarantee that a separate court docket was checked on the same day. Readers can report a later disposition through the corrections form.

When the archive has not completed a public-figure classification for a named person, the editor applies the more protective private-person review standard. The source access log proves retrieval and file integrity only; it does not replace a human reading of the cited material.

The archive does not publish private allegations through the intake form. It avoids naming minor victims and does not solicit medical records, private contact details or identifying survivor material.

Send a correction through the encrypted corrections form. Identify the record, state the claimed error and provide a public source when one is available. Useful requests include changed proceeding status, vacated or overturned outcomes, mistaken identity, citation errors and material classification errors.

The editor reviews the cited record and may correct, annotate, reclassify or remove the page. Material changes should preserve enough version history to explain what changed without repeating private or unsafe material. No submission publishes automatically.

Use the same encrypted corrections form for a takedown request. Name the page, explain the safety, identity, accuracy or legal concern, and include supporting public records where available.

A request triggers editorial review; it does not guarantee removal. The review considers current accuracy, proceeding status, public-record support, identification risk, survivor safety and the public interest. The editor may remove a page while checking a credible urgent concern.

You may include an encrypted reply email if you want an acknowledgment or follow-up. The form is not an emergency service, legal representation or a formal legal-notice address. If immediate safety is at issue, use an appropriate local service listed on the Resources page.
