Beginning with 2018 search warrants that seized 220 boxes of paper records and 3.5 million digital documents from all seven Michigan dioceses, the Attorney General's office has since published diocese-specific reports as investigations of each diocese conclude: a December 2025 report naming 51 accused priests and 152 victims in the Diocese of Grand Rapids, and a June 2026 report naming 37 priests and one deacon with allegations from 104 victims in the Diocese of Saginaw (30 of the 37 known or presumed deceased; none of the 8 living remain in active ministry). Across the full investigation, a public tip line generated 1,276 tips, more than 285 police reports and at least 180 victim interviews, producing 11 criminal cases and 9 convictions to date. Reports on the remaining dioceses, including the Archdiocese of Detroit, were still pending as of this record.
