This is the archive's application of its published inclusion test. The cited record appears below.
The entire family had been brought to worship the defendant as a messiah, and the court's findings describe harm running through that submission: the daughters were raised inside a household that treated his word as divine command, which is what made refusal impossible and kept the family in servitude for over a decade.
- Prophecy or divine command
- Threatened spiritual consequence
- Institutional obedience or isolation

2026-01-16 · conviction and sentence
Moldovan criminal court. A 68-year-old man who had presented himself to a family since 2000 as a messiah — 'Apostle Mikhail' — was convicted of human trafficking, child trafficking, rape of minors and systematic torture, and sentenced to life imprisonment. He systematically raped two of the family's daughters between 2010 and 2014, one of whom became pregnant; confined the children in an oven, telling them he was showing them what hell looks like; and compelled the mother to work in Italy and remit 70% of her wages to him.
Documented coercion mechanisms
- religious submission of the entire family cultivated from 2000
- children confined in an oven to be shown 'what hell looks like'
- threats of murder and arson
- extraction of 70% of the mother's foreign wages
