A 45-year-old priest who served as formator and vice-rector of the Namur seminary was convicted of repeatedly raping a Polish seminarian who came under his authority at Limelette from the age of 20, and was sentenced on 1 December 2025 to 40 months' unconditional imprisonment. The victim first disclosed during confession. The defendant has since left the priesthood.
