On 8 October 2025 a forty-one-year-old pastor of the Jesus Is the Answer Ministries in Mamelodi East was sentenced to life imprisonment plus five years for the rape of a twelve-year-old girl and the sexual assault of a thirteen-year-old, both children of his congregation, in a prosecution announced by the National Prosecuting Authority.
