Whanganui District Court, New Zealand. Herbert Simo Rustila, 38, a religious brother of the Society of Saint Pius X known as 'Brother Vincent', pleaded guilty in February 2025 to a representative charge of sexual conduct with a boy under 16 who served as an altar boy at Saint Anthony's School, Whanganui, over 2018-2022 starting when the boy was 12. Sentenced 1 April 2025 to 200 hours' community work and two years' intensive supervision with electronic monitoring, and prohibited from unsupervised contact with minors.
