Don Livio Graziano was convicted of sexual violence against a thirteen-year-old boy placed in a residential community, sentenced to eight years' imprisonment. He was arrested on 26 October 2021 after the boy's father discovered suspicious messages and a behavioural change following his son's placement; carabinieri found nude images of the boy and a substantial sum of cash on the priest. On 30 May 2024 the First Criminal Section of the Court of Cassation confirmed the sentence, rejecting the defence's appeal as inadmissible.
