Comarca de Braço do Norte, Santa Catarina (Ministério Público de Santa Catarina prosecution). A pastor in Braço do Norte was convicted on two counts of estupro de vulnerável and one of importunação sexual against boys aged twelve and fourteen who attended his church, and sentenced to thirty-seven years and six months in closed regime. His application to appeal at liberty was refused and he has been in custody since July 2024.
