Yusri Su'ud, leader of the Istiqamatuddin Miftahussalam dayah in Pidie Jaya, was convicted on 17 April 2023 under Aceh's Qanun Jinayat of raping and sodomising seven boy santri (2019–2021) whom he summoned to his room 'for massages', and sentenced to 200 months — the qanun maximum — plus restitution to the seven child victims.
