Amtsgericht Memmingen, Germany; affirmed on appeal by Landgericht Memmingen. The Memmingen district court convicted the then-64-year-old former Marist brother and longtime boarding-school director of sexual coercion and sexual abuse of children in four cases (acquitting on one further severe-abuse count as unproven), sentencing him to one year eight months' imprisonment, suspended. He had previously received suspended sentences in 2008 and 2011 for abusing pupils. The Landgericht Memmingen upheld the conviction on appeal in December 2024, making it final.
