    Tarsus 1st Heavy Penal Court; Adana Regional Court, 12th Criminal Division (appellate). Mehmet D., 59, an imam running a mosque Quran course, was convicted of qualified sexual abuse of a minor and unlawful deprivation of liberty against a twelve-year-old student of the course, and sentenced to twenty-seven years and six months. The Adana regional appellate court confirmed the conviction.
