James Njuguna Kuria, pastor and general overseer of the First Born of the Holy Spirit Church, was convicted of defiling two child congregants aged 14 and 11 between December 2014 and January 2015, using religious manipulation including 'God's oil', and of assaulting one victim to force the termination of a pregnancy. Sentences of 50 and 20 years run to an effective 70 years.
