    São Paulo trial court; Tribunal de Justiça de São Paulo. Pedro Leandro Ricardo, known as Padre Leandro, was convicted in 2022 and sentenced to twenty-one years for the sexual abuse of four former altar boys between 2003 and 2006. In 2024 the São Paulo high court denied two defence appeals while reducing the sentence to ten years and six months on the scope of the counts.
