High Court of Uganda. Justice Joyce Kavuma found Rev Gordon Muhwezi, a 46-year-old Church of Uganda priest from Mitooma District, guilty of defiling a girl in May 2021, and sentenced him to 28 years' imprisonment, describing the term as 'very appropriate.' Muhwezi said he would appeal.
