    Criminal court, Guayaquil, Ecuador. Parish priest Pedro Vicente García of the José Obrero church in Guayaquil was accused of sexually abusing five girls from his congregation. He fled and was placed on a most-wanted list, was arrested in Quito in August 2017, and was sentenced on 18 May 2018 to 20 years. The victim was a roughly 17-year-old member of the church choir.
