Slovak district court; Regional Court in Banská Bystrica. Former parish priest Ladislav Jurčík was convicted of sexually abusing an altar server (miništrant) from the age of 12, between 2002 and 2005, and sentenced to three years and four months. The Regional Court in Banská Bystrica upheld the sentence on appeal. He was reported as the first Slovak priest to receive an unconditional custodial sentence for such abuse.
