Texas state court, USA. Kevin Othell Laferney, youth minister at Glenwood First Baptist Church in Gilmer, pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a child. He had fled and faked his own death before being captured in Montana, and was sentenced to life. He appears in the Houston Chronicle's 'Abuse of Faith' documentation of convicted Southern Baptist church staff.
