Per the anti-trafficking NGO that supported the victims: 'l'emprise déployée par les membres de ce gang sur les victimes – caractérisée par les menaces de mort, les intimidations, les violences physiques et psychologiques, et rituel de sorcellerie (juju)... six prévenus ont été condamnés à 10 ans de réclusion criminelle pour agression sexuelle...et 8 ans pour proxénétisme aggravé.' [English: the hold this gang's members exerted over the victims — characterised by death threats, intimidation, physical and psychological violence, and a witchcraft ritual (juju)... six defendants were sentenced to 10 years for sexual assault... and 8 years for aggravated pimping.]
