Eko Adi Saputra, a dukun consulted by a family over their 'haunted' shop, prescribed a ritual requiring their daughter as spiritual intermediary, then raped her under a 'nikah batin' (spirit-marriage) pretext with a 'magic drink'. On 6 November 2025 the Kayu Agung district court convicted him of physical sexual violence and sentenced him to 10 years plus a fine.
