Zemi Rahim, 51, a bomoh, was convicted of physically sexually assaulting a 16-year-old student across multiple incidents in September–October 2023 under the pretext of removing black magic (santau) he claimed afflicted her, and was sentenced to 50 years' imprisonment and 13 strokes of the cane.
