This is the archive's application of its published inclusion test. The cited record appears below.
The victim returned repeatedly over roughly a year for 'treatment' the bomoh himself diagnosed and prescribed — an ongoing patient relationship, not a single walk-in transaction, making the healer's claimed diagnostic authority the operative and recurring mechanism of access.

Mahkamah Sesyen Muar, Malaysia. Zemi Ibrahim, 51, a bomoh who also worked as a house builder and Muay Thai trainer, pleaded guilty to four charges of physical sexual assault and rape of a teenage girl in the bathroom of a house in Pagoh, near Muar, across repeated visits from November 2022, under the pretext of removing black magic she was told afflicted her; the Sessions Court sentenced him to 35 years' imprisonment and 10 strokes of the cane, running concurrently from his 16 October 2023 arrest. The abuse caused a pregnancy. The court also ordered counselling during imprisonment and two years' police supervision after release.
Documented coercion mechanisms
- an ongoing healer-patient relationship (offences recurred September 2022 to October 2023)
- claimed removal of black magic ('santau'/witchcraft) afflicting the victim
