    Cour d'assises de Paris, France. In April 2023 the Paris assize court convicted Christy Daupin, Iven Webster and Sabrina Moreau of the March 2019 murder of Daupin's wife, a thirty-six-year-old Martinican woman, in a case the prosecution placed against a background of Caribbean sorcery and 'désenvoûtement' — a disenchantment rite believed necessary against her. Daupin received thirty years, Webster twenty-five and Moreau eighteen.
