Landgericht München II; Bundesgerichtshof (1 StR 423/23). On 14 June 2023 the Munich II regional court convicted a sixty-four-year-old self-styled shaman of two counts of rape combined with abuse exploiting a treatment relationship, sexual abuse of a juvenile, and dangerous assault — he had pushed the girl from a roughly three-metre cliff into a reservoir. The victim, fourteen, had been delivered to him for 'spiritual therapy' after he manipulated and isolated her family. He received six years and ten months; the Federal Court of Justice rejected his appeal on 30 April 2024, making the judgment final.
