Promyshlenny District Court of Stavropol, Stavropol Krai, Russia (Промышленный районный суд г. Ставрополя). The defendant, anonymised in the published judgment as ФИО4, was convicted on four counts: fraud on an especially large scale under part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, fraud on a large scale under part 3, fraud causing significant damage under part 2, and an attempt at the part 3 offence under part 3 of article 30. She received two years on the part 4 count and one year six months on the part 3 count among others, aggregated under article 69 by partial addition to a final term of three years' deprivation of liberty to be served in a general-regime correctional colony. The court found that she acted 'together with a person unidentified by the investigation, whose criminal case was severed into separate proceedings', by prior conspiracy, and that they 'decided, under the pretext of removing a curse, to steal the property of' the victim, 'distributing the criminal roles between themselves', the unidentified person's assigned role being to enter into conversation with her. The losses recorded include 1,350,000 roubles and a total of 1,364,000 roubles in respect of one victim, and 371,000 roubles and 118,000 roubles in respect of another.

The court records that the defendant «совместно с неустановленным следствием лицом (в отношении которого уголовное дело, выделено в отдельное производство) действуя умышленно, группой лиц по предварительному сговору... под предлогом снятия порчи, решили похитить имущество у [потерпевшей], распределив между собой преступные роли», the unidentified person's role being «вступление в диалог с [потерпевшей]». Losses recorded include «в сумме 1 350 000 рублей» and «на общую сумму 1 364 000 рублей», with further sums of 371,000 and 118,000 roubles for another victim. The operative part convicts under ч.4 ст.159, ч.3 ст.159, ч.2 ст.159 and ч.3 ст.30 ч.3 ст.159 УК РФ, and imposes «по совокупности преступлений путем частичного сложения назначенных наказаний окончательное наказание... в виде лишения свободы сроком на 3 (три) года с отбыванием... в исправительной колонии общего режима».
