Boonchuay Phansamdaeng, 53, former abbot of Wat Tham Prakai Phet in Loei province, lured a 21-year-old laywoman with an 'exorcism' ritual and raped her; she complained to the Damrongtham Centre in September 2018 and the Loei Provincial Court sentenced him to eight years, halved to four on his confession.
